Un'antica dimora, tre donne, un passato da riscrivere

Dafne is a young writer.  After the death of aunt Clara, the woman she has grown up with, she is completely alone. The only thing she has left is a decaying family mansion: the Oak. And all its mysteries. There she has spent her childhood and it is from there she has escaped years before.

In this ancient mansion, silence is her only companion.

The first night she sleeps there after her return, a wheeze in her room stirs her up.

That breath that has no face, like the past of all her ancestresses who have lived at the Oak like her.

The truth is a blurred boundary between different points of view, an entwined bundle of horrible family secrets, hard feelings and misunderstandings, whose disentanglement is going to cost her dearly.

Three women, three different generations, connected to each other, never meeting for real.

And the past is not the only scary thing.
